Run Program Testimonials

Attachment-1_edited.jpg
'"I was an avid and competitive runner in high school and college, 30 years ago! I had not competed and trained in those 30 years. After the loss of my husband I found a peace in working out especially running. Even after 30 years had passed, I still had the endurance and stamina for long distance running. I set a goal (not thinking about how I would accomplish the goal) to run a half marathon. I shared my goal with Jill who suggested I get a running coach; I would need guidance if I wanted to complete this goal. I was introduced to Drew!

Drew and I’s first meeting was a “get to know you session.” He learned about my running history, my overall health, my objectives &  goals, and my personality. Drew gathered a good understanding of who Mande was and developed a detailed weekly running program. My weekly programs were detailed, it included strengthening and conditioning exercises. Drew remotely monitored my training via my google sheets and Strava apps, there was no hiding from him! We met for virtual sessions where he continued to observe my running, answered questions, and was always available to me. He also gave me vital tips on warm-up exercises and running drills to improve my balance and coordination.

YOUR RUN COACH'S "WHY"

I got into running initially because I had been notoriously bad at anything longer than 200 meters and I didn't want that anymore.  That motivation quickly turned into "this is one of the most natural things that humans are born to be able to do, and I struggle with a couple miles, that's just not right". So along the way I haven't been too concerned with how fast I go, but seeing how far my body can take me. Seeing the improvements day after day, week after week, have improved much more than just my endurance. Mental clarity and strength, body awareness knowing how hard I can go and when my body really needs a break, and nothing beats a sunrise run on a cool morning.

Let's chat!

I will be in touch soon!
